The lower pass price is not the advertised first-purchase price. Ask for the Travel SIM package by name rather than requesting whichever prepaid offer has the largest “unlimited” label.

CelcomDigi: look beyond the unlimited headline

CelcomDigi’s Tourist SIM is available to non-Malaysian passport holders visiting Malaysia. Its 7-day and 14-day unlimited passes run at 18 Mbps, with the FUP allowances shown above; the FUP is exhausted, speed falls to 512 Kbps.

Include the starter purchase and renewal behaviour in your comparison rather than judging it solely by the promotional price.

Official airport counters are a sensible choice when you want registration help before continuing to your accommodation. City stores can also be convenient, especially if you are already connected and prefer to buy near your hotel.

Compare the exact package, rather than assuming the airport is more expensive. Different sellers may offer different bundles, and the cheapest-looking figure may be an add-on rather than a new SIM.
