Antalya Airport’s official directory confirms that both operators sell SIM-related products, but it does not publish the complete amount charged for a new tourist line at the airport. This matters because an operator’s advertised package price may exclude the physical SIM, new-line taxes, radio licence charges and any dealer service margin.
Travelers who mainly need maps, messaging, hotel contact and ride-booking can avoid those variables by arranging a Türkiye eSIM before departure.

The official name is Fraport TAV Antalya Airport, and it has International Terminal 1, International Terminal 2 and a Domestic Terminal. International passengers should check which terminal their flight uses because the two international buildings are separate.
Türk Telekom is officially listed in International Terminal 1 and International Terminal 2. The airport identifies one of its locations as being in the International Terminal 2 welcome hall, making it suitable for arriving passengers after completing the normal arrivals process. The airport directory does not provide an exact unit number or clearly identify every counter as airside or landside.
Published opening hours are 08:00–23:00. A flight arriving after 23:00 should not depend on the counter being available, even during Antalya’s busy summer season.
The airport outlet advertises prepaid lines, top-ups, chargers and other telecommunications products. Türk Telekom also states that its tourist prepaid SIM can be purchased from airport dealers or regular Türk Telekom stores. Staff can register a new line and add the selected Tourist Welcome package.
The limitation is price transparency. Türk Telekom publishes its package charge, but neither the operator nor Antalya Airport currently publishes the full airport-counter total. Ask the salesperson to show an itemized amount before payment, including:

Card-payment acceptance is not reliably published for these particular airport counters. Carrying a payment card and some Turkish lira is sensible, but confirm the accepted method before registration begins.
Vodafone is officially listed in International Terminal 1, International Terminal 2 and the Domestic Terminal. This gives it broader terminal coverage than Türk Telekom, particularly for domestic arrivals. The airport publishes daily opening hours of 08:00–23:00.
Vodafone sells SIM cards, prepaid credit and other telecommunications products at AYT. Its tourist product is issued on the New Easy prepaid tariff and includes the Welcome to Turkey package.
Vodafone’s current English tourist page describes 20 GB of data, 750 domestic minutes, 1,000 domestic SMS and unlimited data for WhatsApp use, valid for 28 days. The tourist line is automatically deactivated after 60 days unless the tariff is changed.
Vodafone does not currently display a reliable complete Antalya Airport selling price. Its package information should therefore not be treated as the amount you will necessarily pay at the terminal.

These are official mobile-package prices, not verified Antalya Airport totals. Türk Telekom explicitly states that its package fee excludes new-line radio licence and Special Communication Tax charges, while the radio usage fee is collected separately. Airport dealer charges or a physical starter-card amount may also affect the final bill.

Do not confuse Vodafone’s other one- or three-month offers with the standard short-stay tourist product. Eligibility and sales channels can differ, and an advertised package price may not represent the complete cost of opening a foreign-passport line at AYT.
Buying a Turkish physical SIM requires identity registration. Bring the original passport used to enter Türkiye; a photograph or photocopy may not be accepted. The operator records the subscriber information while opening the prepaid line.
Türk Telekom states that its Welcome offers are available to customers who purchased a new prepaid line and declared a passport or accepted identity document during registration within the previous 90 days. The package can be added by the dealer during activation.
Vodafone requires a passport for its foreign-customer prepaid tariff. Its tourist guidance also says that a local accommodation address, such as a hotel, may be requested, so keep the hotel name and address accessible offline.
Before leaving the counter:
Confirm that mobile data works.
Ask staff to show the remaining data balance.
Check that your phone displays the operator’s network.
Keep the SIM holder or paperwork containing the PIN and PUK.
Request a receipt showing the complete amount paid.
Your phone must be unlocked. Foreign devices can generally operate with a Turkish SIM for approximately 120 days before local device-registration restrictions become relevant, so this is not normally an issue for an ordinary holiday. Longer stays require separate research into Türkiye’s IMEI rules.

An official city shop may offer better package availability or a clearer explanation of fees, but there is not enough verified evidence to promise that the final city price will always be lower than the Antalya Airport total. Türk Telekom provides an official store locator for branches in Antalya, while Vodafone directs tourist customers to its authorized sales points.
Waiting until the city also has an indirect cost: you need transport, time and a working connection to locate the branch. Travelers heading directly from AYT to Lara, Belek, Kemer, Side or Alanya may not pass a convenient official shop immediately.

A physical SIM remains the better choice when you specifically need a Turkish number, ordinary domestic calls, SMS or service for a longer stay.
Antalya Airport provides free WiFi in the arrival and departure halls of all terminals. The airport’s current English service page states that the standard free session lasts 30 minutes.
Passengers obtain a PIN from free WiFi kiosks in the arrival or departure halls. Authentication requires a valid mobile phone, identity card or passport. Unlimited free internet is available in the CIP terminal and airport lounges, but lounge access conditions apply.
The official airport page does not reliably publish the network name, expected speed, international-number verification behavior or whether another free session can be obtained after the first 30 minutes. Do not rely on the airport connection for an entire transfer to a resort.
