Its visitor booking conditions set a maximum validity of 21 days for visitor SIMs and associated products. Unused balances are non-transferable. This matters for a longer holiday: a general prepaid page showing a 30-day bundle is not sufficient evidence that your visitor line will remain usable for a month.

Prebooking also needs to be distinguished from receiving a ready-to-use eSIM remotely. Airtel directs arriving travellers to collect their activated SIMs at its airport kiosk or another outlet. Follow the fulfilment instructions for your specific order before assuming you can skip the counter.

Cable & Wireless Seychelles: MyStay

CWS MyStay is a visitor-specific prepaid service available as a physical SIM or an eSIM. It is intended for visitors rather than Seychelles residents or Gainful Occupation Permit holders.

The decision-changing points in the MyStay conditions are:

• The service lasts 21 days. Calls, recharges and other chargeable activity do not extend that period.

• Resident boosters are separate. MyStay SIMs cannot purchase residential mobile data, voice or SMS boosters.

• Extra allowances use MyStay products. Additional MyStay data or voice boosters are managed through MyCare.

CWS sets up a MyCare account using your email address when you purchase MyStay. Keep access to that account if you expect to add data during your stay.

These conditions make MyStay straightforward for a holiday within its validity window, but a recharge should not be treated as a way to carry the same service beyond day 21.

Where to Buy a SIM on Mahé, Praslin and La Digue

On arrival at Seychelles International Airport

Seychelles International Airport on Mahé is a practical first stop for buying or collecting a local SIM. Airtel and CWS serve arriving visitors there, and Airtel explicitly supports airport collection for advance bookings.

Keep your passport and any order confirmation accessible after arrival. If you have already purchased a SIM during travel authorisation, use that confirmation to collect the correct order rather than starting a second purchase.

Continuing to a ferry or domestic flight makes this a timing decision. Allow for collection and setup before your transfer, or arrange a connection that can be installed before departure. Advance payment alone does not remove a collection step.

At an operator shop during your stay

Buying after arrival also works if you prefer to settle into your accommodation first. Airtel’s official shop directory includes:
