Roafly has the lowest standard prices for the 5 GB and 10 GB, 30-day plans compared in this guide, alongside Vodafone 5G access and hotspot sharing across your purchased allowance. That combination suits a Doha visit where you need maps, hotel messages, transport bookings and internet between Wi-Fi connections.
Airalo, Saily, Roamless, aloSIM and Holafly offer other approaches, including shorter packages, app features and unlimited data. The useful comparison is what each plan gives you for the money—and whether its terms fit your stay.
The fixed-data columns below compare the same allowances and 30-day validity. Holafly appears as a separate unlimited alternative, with its actual duration shown.
| Provider | 5 GB / 30 days | 10 GB / 30 days | Plan details |
|---|---|---|---|
| Roafly | $12.90 | $24.00 | Vodafone 5G; hotspot across your allowance |
| Airalo | $17.00 | $29.00 | Vodafone; shorter-validity packages also available |
| Saily | $16.99 | $29.99 | Hotspot sharing and built-in security features |
| Roamless | $16.45 | $28.95 | Vodafone; separate pay-as-you-go option |
| aloSIM | $17.00 | $28.50 | Vodafone LTE/5G; Hushed phone-number offer |
| Holafly | — | — | Unlimited data: $36.50 for 7 days; Vodafone |
Prices checked on 14 October 2026 in USD, before promotional codes. Prices, network access and plan terms may change. Holafly’s seven-day unlimited package is not equivalent to the fixed-data packages.
Roafly’s price advantage applies to both matched allowances. Your choice can still change if you need only a little data during a stopover, want a particular app feature, or expect to use substantially more data on your phone.

Roafly’s Qatar eSIM combines Vodafone 5G access with prepaid packages, top-ups and hotspot sharing. The 5 GB plan is a practical starting point for a Doha holiday with regular navigation, messaging and browsing; 10 GB gives you more room for social media and sharing a connection.
Smaller packages also make sense for short visits. 1 GB costs $5 for seven days, while 3 GB costs $9.90 for 30 days. You can therefore start with an allowance suited to a brief stay instead of paying for data you are unlikely to use.
The practical terms are straightforward:
Hotspot: share data from your purchased allowance, with no separate hotspot quota.
Activation: validity begins when the eSIM first connects to a supported network in Qatar.
Top-ups: add more data through the Roafly app or website.
Registration: no ID verification is required for the Qatar travel eSIM.
You can install the eSIM before departure using Wi-Fi, then select it for mobile data after arrival. The 30-day validity gives you flexibility over how you spread your usage, while the fixed allowance keeps the purchase cost clear.

Airalo’s Pearl Mobile service uses Vodafone in Qatar and offers several package durations. Its seven-day versions cost $15 for 5 GB and $26 for 10 GB.
Those shorter packages still cost more than Roafly’s corresponding 30-day plans. Existing Airalo customers may appreciate managing another trip through the same app, but a shorter expiry does not bring a lower price in this particular comparison.
Airalo also offers unlimited packages. The table uses its fixed-data plans so that the allowance and validity match the other capped options.
Saily includes virtual-location settings, ad blocking and web protection with its Qatar data service. Hotspot sharing is supported without a separate daily tethering quota, and additional data can be purchased through the app.
These features are the main reason to consider paying more for Saily’s matched packages. Its Qatar partner network is not identified by name on the country product page, so the comparison cannot establish an operator advantage.
Roamless offers two distinct ways to pay: Qatar fixed-data packages with 30-day validity, and a separate pay-as-you-go balance.
The pay-as-you-go rate checked for Qatar was $2.95 per GB, with unused account credit remaining available for future trips. That can suit very light use during a brief stopover or someone who prefers keeping a balance for several destinations.
The fixed packages in the table have their own expiry. Buying one does not give its unused data the same no-expiry treatment as account credit. Both models use Vodafone in Qatar; prepare the app and your chosen payment option before departure.
aloSIM’s Qatar packages use Vodafone with LTE/5G access. Its 5 GB and 10 GB packages match the 30-day comparison period, although both cost more than Roafly.
The additional feature is a phone-number offer through Hushed, a separate calling and messaging app. Treat that as an app-based service with its own credits and conditions, rather than a local Qatar voice line included in the data eSIM.
If you mainly want mobile internet and already communicate through your usual apps, the fixed-data price remains the more relevant difference.
Holafly sells Qatar unlimited data by trip duration. The seven-day example in the table is relevant if you expect substantial usage on your phone and prefer paying for days instead of a fixed allowance.
Hotspot sharing is limited to 1 GB per day. Fair-use management can also temporarily reduce connection speeds, with restrictions resetting the following day; the Qatar offer does not specify a precise full-speed data threshold.
That distinction matters when you plan to share internet with a laptop or another traveler. Consider where most of your data will be used before choosing an unlimited phone plan.
The first question is whether you will leave the airport.

Hamad International Airport provides free Wi-Fi throughout the terminal. If you are staying airside between flights, that may cover your immediate needs without a separate Qatar data purchase.
Once you head into Doha, mobile data becomes more useful for finding your hotel, checking directions around Souq Waqif and coordinating your return to the airport.
These are practical starting points rather than guaranteed usage estimates:
Brief city outing: 1 GB can suit maps, messages and occasional searches when video, cloud backups and large downloads stay on Wi-Fi.
Several days with light use: 3 GB gives you more room for browsing, bookings and daily navigation.
Regular sightseeing and social media: 5 GB offers a more comfortable allowance, particularly if you spend much of the day away from your hotel.
Frequent sharing or heavier phone use: consider 10 GB, especially when another device will use your hotspot.
Video uploads, streaming and automatic photo backups can change the calculation quickly. Download entertainment and offline maps over Wi-Fi, then use your mobile allowance for the parts of the trip that need a live connection.
Thirty-day validity is an expiry window, not a suggestion that every package will last a month of intensive use.

Roafly, Airalo, Roamless, aloSIM and Holafly all name Vodafone for their Qatar service. Roafly supports 5G, with actual access depending on your device, settings and local signal.
The shared network is useful context: several higher-priced packages connect through the same local operator. Their prices alone do not establish a better coverage footprint or faster connection.
Doha sightseeing and trips into remote desert areas also create different needs. Download your route before heading toward places such as Khor Al Adaid, and keep booking details accessible offline. Signal conditions can vary away from populated areas.
Roafly’s Qatar packages provide data only, without a local phone number, ordinary voice minutes or SMS. Your existing WhatsApp account can stay registered to its usual number while using the eSIM’s internet connection.
Keeping your account and completing a voice or video call are separate matters. If a scheduled call is essential, test the app on the connection you will use and keep another way to contact the person.
Local voice calls may justify a different purchase. Ooredoo’s visitor SIM and eSIM packages include calling minutes, which can be useful if you need to telephone local businesses directly. That is a separate requirement from choosing an affordable data allowance.
Installation is easier while you still have a stable internet connection and time to review the settings.
Confirm device support and unlocking. Check your exact model against the list of eSIM-compatible devices. Regional versions of the same phone can differ.
Install over Wi-Fi. Follow the instructions to install your eSIM before traveling, and give the new line a recognizable name such as “Qatar data.”
Select the travel line after arrival. Set the Qatar eSIM as your mobile-data line and enable data roaming for that eSIM as instructed.
Review your home SIM settings. Keep data roaming disabled on your home line if you want to avoid using its overseas data service. Disable automatic mobile-data switching where your phone provides that option.
After connecting, open a webpage or map to check that data works. Monitor the allowance during your stay, particularly if hotspot sharing or automatic backups are enabled.
Roafly’s Qatar country package covers Qatar. Continuing to the UAE or Saudi Arabia requires a package that explicitly covers the next destination.
Regional plans and global pay-as-you-go services have different coverage lists. Check every country on your itinerary rather than assuming a package labeled “Middle East” includes all Gulf destinations.
Yes, if your phone supports the required dual-SIM combination. You can keep your home line active while selecting the Qatar eSIM for mobile data.
Receiving bank messages or other SMS still depends on your home operator’s roaming arrangements. Calls and other activity on that line remain subject to its charges, even when your internet connection uses the travel eSIM.
