Roafly has the lowest standard price for 5 GB over 30 days in the fixed-data comparison below, with Glo 4G access and hotspot use across the purchased allowance. That combination suits a Nigeria trip built around maps, messaging and everyday browsing, with hotel Wi-Fi handling larger downloads. Your choice changes if you need substantially more data or access to a different local network.
Cheap starting prices can conceal a short expiry period or a small allowance. The fixed-data columns below compare matching allowances over 30 days, making the cost easier to judge for a week in Lagos, a business visit to Abuja or a longer stay with family. Holafly’s unlimited option appears separately with the same validity period.
| Provider | 5 GB / 30 days | 10 GB / 30 days | Unlimited / 30 days |

| Airalo | $30.00 | $49.00 | — |
| Saily | $29.99 | $48.99 | — |
| Nomad | $25.00 | $35.00 | — |
| Roamless | $29.95 | $48.95 | — |
| Holafly | — | — | $116.50 |
Standard prices in USD, checked on 27 October 2026 using the providers’ product pages; coupons and loyalty rewards are excluded. Dashes indicate plans outside this comparison, not necessarily unavailable products. Unlimited data is subject to fair-use and hotspot conditions. Prices and terms may change.
Roafly’s 5 GB plan costs about 17% less than the equivalent Airalo, Saily and Roamless plans. Nomad is effectively level at that allowance, with a difference of just ten cents.
These are selected providers, rather than a claim to cover every Nigeria eSIM on the market. The useful question is which package fits your trip at a price you are comfortable paying.

Roafly’s Nigeria eSIM combines a competitive 5 GB price with straightforward prepaid terms. The package runs on Glo, supports 4G where available and lets you share your purchased data with a laptop or another device without a separate hotspot quota.
Sharing still consumes the same allowance. Reading documents or sending emails from a laptop is a different proposition from letting it download operating-system updates, so pause large background transfers before connecting.
The validity period begins when the eSIM first connects to a supported network in Nigeria. You can install it before departure, while you have a dependable internet connection, and leave the line switched off until you need it.
Top-ups are available, and the plan has no automatic renewal or ID-verification requirement. Those terms make it practical to start with an allowance that matches your normal use and add data if your plans change.
Light users also have a 3 GB option valid for 30 days at $16.90. It gives you the same length of validity without paying for a larger allowance you may leave unused.

Airalo’s Nigeria package has a broader disclosed network selection: Airtel, Glo and MTN. That is a meaningful distinction if you want more than one named network behind the purchase, although the supported technology differs between them.
The 30-day fixed-data plans cost more than Roafly at both allowances in the table. Airalo also sells shorter-duration packages, so compare the actual validity when browsing its offers; a seven-day price is not the equivalent of a month-long package.
Saily keeps the fixed-data choice relatively simple, with packages from 1 GB to 10 GB. Its 5 GB and 10 GB options both last 30 days, and hotspot use has no separate restriction.
You manage the service through the Saily app. Plans can activate on arrival after setup, within a 180-day activation window; unused plans activate automatically at the end of that window. The Nigeria product page does not name the local partner networks, so it offers less detail for buyers who want to choose by operator.
Nomad’s main price difference appears at 10 GB: its $35 package costs $9.90 less than Roafly’s equivalent. That matters if you already know you need the larger allowance.
The Nigeria plan details identify Airtel 4G. Nomad also supports add-on data and gives buyers a 60-day activation window before automatic activation. Its larger packages can have different validity periods, so keep the allowance and expiry together when comparing beyond the two examples above.
Roamless uses Glo in Nigeria, with 3G/4G access. Its fixed-data packages are more expensive than Roafly at both 5 GB and 10 GB, but its reusable global eSIM and separate pay-as-you-go balance may appeal if you already use the service across several countries.
Keep the two payment models distinct. Roamless credits do not expire, while its Nigeria fixed-data packages expire after 30 days. Buying a country package does not give that allowance the same non-expiring terms as the credit balance.
Holafly prices its Nigeria eSIM by trip length and includes unlimited phone data on Airtel Nigeria and MTN Nigeria. Shorter examples cost $41.90 for seven days and $66.50 for 15 days.
Hotspot sharing is capped at 1 GB per day. Phone data is subject to fair-use management: speeds can be reduced temporarily, with restrictions resetting the following day. The Nigeria product page does not specify a fixed daily full-speed allowance or reduced speed.
The plan suits a different spending model for frequent phone use, while laptop users should weigh the daily sharing cap against fixed-data plans with full-allowance hotspot.

Nigeria’s mobile experience varies substantially between locations. Dense urban areas and rural routes present different conditions, so a connection that works well at your hotel is not a reliable guide to an entire intercity journey.
The Nigerian Communications Commission’s June 2026 network quality assessment identifies significant regional and urban–rural differences, including changes in responsiveness that can affect video calls and remote work. Those findings describe Nigeria’s broader network environment, rather than the performance of an individual travel eSIM.
Network names also need to be read alongside technology. Roafly’s Nigeria package is a Glo 4G product. Airalo’s disclosed options are Airtel 5G, Glo 4G and MTN 3G, so seeing “MTN” in a comparison does not mean that package includes MTN’s 4G or 5G service.
If a particular hotel, office or family address is central to your stay, ask which operator works well inside that building. Download offline maps before longer journeys, and arrange a separate connection for work where losing a call would cause a problem. More data cannot fix a weak local signal.
Match the allowance to what you will do away from Wi-Fi. A 30-day validity period gives you time to use the package; it does not divide the data into daily portions.
3 GB: Consider this for messaging, maps and occasional browsing when dependable Wi-Fi handles most of your internet use.
5 GB: A useful starting point for regular navigation, checking bookings, email and moderate social-media use. Roafly’s price advantage is strongest at this comparison tier.
10 GB: Consider more headroom if you expect frequent uploads, video calls or laptop sharing, while remembering that sustained streaming can consume a fixed allowance quickly.
Before departure, download entertainment and offline maps over Wi-Fi. Disable mobile-data backups for photos and videos, and review which apps can update in the background. These settings usually matter more than trying to predict an exact daily allowance for an unfamiliar trip.
Getting the installation done at home leaves fewer tasks to handle after landing in Lagos or Abuja.
Check the exact device model and carrier lock. Your phone must support eSIM and allow another provider’s service. Regional versions of the same phone can differ.
Install over a stable internet connection. Follow the provider’s installation instructions and keep them accessible for arrival.
Select the travel eSIM for mobile data in Nigeria. Enable data roaming for that eSIM where instructed. Keep data roaming disabled on your home line if you want to avoid using its roaming data.
Review data switching and background use. If your phone offers automatic switching between data lines, turn it off when you want all mobile data to stay on the travel eSIM.
If the installed line does not connect, first check that it is enabled and selected for data. Follow the provider’s APN or network-selection instructions before deleting the eSIM; removing it can make troubleshooting harder.
No. Roafly’s Nigeria eSIM supplies mobile data without a local phone number, conventional voice minutes or SMS. Internet-based calling works through compatible apps, but a service that specifically requires a Nigerian number needs a separate solution.
Yes. Installing a travel data eSIM does not require changing your WhatsApp number. Keep the existing account and use the eSIM’s internet connection for messages and calls. If WhatsApp asks you to verify the account again, you still need access to the number registered to it.
Roafly’s Nigeria package covers Nigeria. An onward visit to Ghana, Benin or another destination needs its own supported plan or a regional package that explicitly includes both countries. The fact that an operator brand appears in several countries does not extend your allowance across borders.
