Error: "This code is no longer valid" / I accidentally deleted my eSIM

If you see the error message "This code is no longer valid" or "eSIM cannot be added", it usually means the installation profile has already been used or was accidentally removed from your device.

⚠️ The Golden Rule: NEVER Delete Your eSIM

For security and technical reasons, Roafly eSIMs are single-use. * Once an eSIM is deleted, the unique digital key is destroyed.

  • Deleted eSIMs cannot be recovered, reinstalled, or refunded. If you are having connection issues, please follow our Troubleshooting Guide instead of removing the eSIM.

What should you do? (The Last Recovery Steps)

1. Check if it’s actually already there Sometimes you get this error because the eSIM is already installed!

  • Go to your Cellular/Mobile Data Settings.

  • Look for plans named "Secondary", "Travel", "Business", "Carrier" or "Personal".

2. Try the different installation methods

If you deleted it or the first scan failed, try the other methods listed in your Roafly app (My eSIMs > Install eSIM) one last time. Sometimes the profile can still be picked up:

  • Manual Installation: Copy and paste the SM-DP+ Address and Activation Code into your phone settings.

  • Direct Installation: Use the "Install" button directly inside the Roafly app.

  • Note: If these also say "Invalid", it means the profile is permanently gone.

3. What if I definitely deleted it?

If the steps above do not work, the digital profile is officially lost. Since this is a permanent action on the device's hardware, you will need to purchase a new eSIM plan to regain connectivity.
