My eSIM is stuck on "Activating..."

If you see the word "Activating..." or a spinning wheel next to your Roafly eSIM in your iPhone settings for a long time, don't worry! This is a common iOS display bug and does not mean your installation has failed.

In most cases, your eSIM is actually successfully installed and ready to go.

Why is this happening?

Your iPhone is simply waiting to connect to the local network to confirm the activation. Since you are likely still at home or in an area with a weak signal for that specific roaming partner, the "Activating" message stays there until a solid connection is made.

How to resolve this (3 Quick Fixes):

1. Just Wait (The "Arrival" Fix)

The message will usually disappear automatically once you land at your destination and your phone connects to the local carrier. As soon as you see signal bars, the status will change to "On" or "Active."

2. Restart Your Phone

If the message is bothering you, a simple Restart (Turn your phone off and back on) is often enough to clear the iOS cache and show the eSIM as correctly installed.

3. Toggle Airplane Mode

Turn Airplane Mode ON for 15 seconds and then turn it OFF. This forces the iPhone to refresh its SIM status and often clears the "Activating" hang immediately.

Important Note: Even if it says "Activating," your eSIM is already in your device's memory. Do NOT delete the eSIM to try and start over, as this will permanently destroy the profile.
