Error: "Cellular Plans From This Carrier Cannot Be Added"

If you see this error, your phone is likely Network-Locked to your home provider, or the eSIM is already partially installed.

Step 1: Verify the Lock (iOS only)

  • Go to Settings > General > About.

  • Look for "Carrier Lock". If it says "SIM restricted", your phone is locked. It must say "No SIM restrictions" to work.

What are your options?

  • Option 1: Contact your carrier. Call your provider and ask them to "Network Unlock" your device.

  • Option 2: Check if it’s already installed. Sometimes this error means the eSIM is already there! Look for plans named "Secondary", "Travel", "Business" or "Carrier" in your SIM settings.

  • Option 3: Use another device. If your phone remains locked, you can still install the eSIM on any other unlocked, compatible device (like a tablet or a friend's phone).
