How do I change my APN settings?

If you have full signal bars but cannot connect to the internet, you likely need to update your APN (Access Point Name) manually.

Where to find your APN details:

  • In the Roafly App: Go to My eSIMs > Select your active eSIM > Install eSIM -> Step 2/2 - Optional.

  • In your Email: Check the eSIM installation instructions email we sent you right after your purchase. 

How to change your APN on iOS (iPhone/iPad):

  1. Go to Settings > Cellular (or Mobile Service) and select your eSIM.

  2. Tap Cellular (Mobile) Data Network.

  3. In the APN field, enter the specific APN name provided in your Order Confirmation Email, Roafly App, or Website (eSIM Details).

  4. Important: Every eSIM has a unique APN. Do NOT use example settings like "internet" unless it is explicitly assigned to your plan.

  5. Leave Username and Password fields blank.

How to set up your APN on Android

  1. Go to Settings > Connections > Mobile Networks > Access Point Names.

  2. Ensure your eSIM is selected (usually at the bottom or top of the screen).

  3. Tap Add (or the + icon).

  4. In both the Name and APN fields, type the specific APN name provided in your Order Confirmation Email, Roafly App, or Website (eSIM Details).

    Note: Every eSIM has a unique APN. Do NOT use generic examples like "internet"; only use the one assigned to your specific plan.

  5. Tap the three-dot menu (top right), select Save, and ensure this new APN is selected.

⚠️ Final Step: Turn Airplane Mode on and off, or restart your phone to apply the new settings.
