How do I find and verify my correct Roafly eSIM?

If you have multiple SIMs or eSIMs on your phone, you must ensure that your Mobile Data is linked to the correct Roafly profile. Using the wrong line could result in expensive roaming charges from your home carrier.

Follow these steps to find and verify your active Roafly eSIM:

Step 1: Identify your Roafly "Key" (ICCID)

Every eSIM has a unique 19 or 20-digit serial number called an ICCID.

  1. Open the Roafly App.

  2. Go to My eSIMs > Tap your Active Plan.

  3. Look for the ICCID (starts with 89...). This is the "ID card" of your Roafly plan.

  4. Keep this screen open or copy the last 4 digits.

Step 2: Verify the Settings on your Device

For iOS (iPhone/iPad):

Since you might have multiple "Secondary", "Personal", "Travel", "Business" labels, follow this exact order to find your Roafly line:

  1. Turn the line ON: * Go to Settings > Cellular (or Mobile Data).

    • Under SIMs, tap on a line that isn't your primary one (e.g., Secondary or Travel).

    • Toggle "Turn On This Line" to ON.

  2. Check the ID: * Now, go to Settings > General > About.

    • Scroll to the very bottom. You will see a section for the line you just turned on.

    • Look for the ICCID (the 89... number).

  3. Match and Label:

    • ✅ Matches? This is your Roafly eSIM! Go back to Cellular, tap this line, tap Cellular Plan Label, and rename it to "Roafly".

    • ❌ Doesn't Match? Go back to Cellular, turn that line off, and repeat the steps with the next available eSIM until you find the right one.

For Android (Samsung, Pixel, etc.):

Android menus may vary by brand, but the ICCID is usually found directly inside the eSIM settings. Ensure the eSIM is turned ON first.

For Samsung Galaxy Devices:

  1. Go to Settings > Connections > SIM Manager.

  2. Tap on one of your active eSIMs.

  3. Tap More Information (or scroll to the bottom).

  4. Look for the ICCID (the 89... number).

    • ✅ Matches? Rename the eSIM to "Roafly".

    • ❌ Doesn't Match? Check your other active eSIMs.

For Google Pixel & Other Androids:

  1. Go to Settings > Network & Internet > SIMs.
  2. Select an active eSIM profile.
  3. Scroll to the very bottom of the page.
  4. You will see the ICCID listed directly under the "SIM info" or "Technical" section.

✅ Matches? Tap the Edit (pencil icon) at the top and rename it to "Roafly".

Step 3: The "Final Correction" Checklist

Once you have identified the correct eSIM, make sure your phone is actually using it for internet:

  1. Set as Default: Go to Mobile Data (or Cellular Data) and ensure your Roafly eSIM is selected as the active line.

  2. Data Roaming: Ensure "Data Roaming" is toggled ON only for the Roafly eSIM.

  3. Primary Line: Ensure your Home SIM (Primary) has "Data Roaming" toggled OFF to avoid accidental charges.

  4. Network Selection: If you have signal bars but no internet, ensure "Network Selection" is set to Automatic for the Roafly line.

💡 Why is this important?

  • Generic Names: Phones often name new eSIMs "Secondary" or "Business" by default. Without checking the ICCID, you might be turning on the wrong plan.

  • Avoid "Ghost" Roaming: If you leave your Primary line on for data by mistake, your home carrier will charge you roaming fees even if the Roafly eSIM is installed.

👉 Still not sure? If the ICCID in your settings doesn't match anything in the app, your eSIM might not be installed yet.
